What You'll Keep

Before You Start

Don't cancel Follow Up Boss yet. Keep your subscription active until you've verified all your data imported correctly. You can run both systems in parallel for a week.

Step-by-Step Migration

1 Export Your Contacts from Follow Up Boss

Time: 2 minutes

  1. Log into Follow Up Boss
  2. Go to PeopleAll People
  3. Click the menu (top right)
  4. Select Export to CSV
  5. Choose All fields
  6. Click Export and download the file

This gives you a CSV with all contacts, including notes, tags, and custom fields.

2 Create Your Esgrow Account

Time: 1 minute

  1. Go to getesgrow.com/signup
  2. Sign in with Google (fastest) or create an account
  3. You'll land on your empty dashboard

3 Import Your Contacts

Time: 5 minutes

  1. Click SettingsImport
  2. Select Import from CSV
  3. Upload your Follow Up Boss export file
  4. Map the columns:
    • First Name → First Name
    • Last Name → Last Name
    • Email → Email
    • Phone → Phone
    • Stage → Pipeline Stage
    • Notes → Notes
  5. Click Import

Esgrow automatically deduplicates contacts if you import twice.

4 Set Up Your Pipeline Stages

Time: 3 minutes

Esgrow comes with default stages, but you can customize them to match your Follow Up Boss setup:

  1. Go to Pipeline
  2. Click Edit Stages
  3. Add/rename stages to match: New Lead → Contacted → Showing → Under Contract → Closed

5 Connect Your Email

Time: 2 minutes

  1. Go to SettingsIntegrations
  2. Click Connect Gmail (or Outlook)
  3. Authorize Esgrow to read your Zillow/Realtor.com lead emails

New leads from portal emails will auto-import going forward.

6 Verify Your Data

Time: 2 minutes

  1. Spot-check 5-10 contacts to ensure notes imported correctly
  2. Verify pipeline stages are assigned properly
  3. Check that phone numbers formatted correctly
You're done! Your contacts are in Esgrow. Run both systems for a few days to make sure everything works, then cancel Follow Up Boss.

What About Automations?

Follow Up Boss action plans don't export. But Esgrow's drip campaigns are simpler to set up:

  1. Go to Campaigns
  2. Click New Campaign
  3. Choose a template (New Lead Nurture, Long-Term Follow-Up, etc.)
  4. Customize the emails
  5. Assign contacts to the campaign

Frequently Asked Questions

Will I lose my contact history?

Notes and activity history export from FUB as text in the Notes field. You won't lose the information, but it won't be in a separate activity timeline.

What about my integrations?

You'll need to reconnect integrations (Zillow, BombBomb, etc.) in Esgrow. Most take 2-3 clicks.

Can I import my email templates?

Not automatically, but you can copy/paste your best templates into Esgrow's template library.

How long should I keep both running?

We recommend 1 week of parallel operation. This catches any leads that come through old FUB integrations.
